The birth of the Arche

How leet design reimagined the acoustic pod

A conviction before a product

The story of the Arche began in 2018. But to understand it, we have to go back a little further.

In 2015, leet design launched the E-Bulle. Behind this first product was a simple idea: work environments lacked spaces for focus. As offices became more open, this conviction only grew stronger.

Three years later, everyone agreed. Open-plan offices had become the norm, driven by the search for flexibility and collaboration. But they had a downside: constant noise, overlapping conversations, and the inability to find privacy for a call or a task requiring concentration. The need for privacy had become a major issue for companies.

A market of functional boxes

At that time, acoustic pods already existed on the market. They addressed the problem, but in only one way: the box. A closed volume, placed in a corner of the open office, designed for its function and nothing else.

leet design made a different choice. Rather than adding another box, the company wanted to design a pod that would have a rightful place in the workspace—an object with an identity, capable of integrating into a space's architecture instead of just being added to it.

An architectural identity

This approach guided the entire project. The pod would be designed and manufactured in France, and its design would draw from a recognizable heritage.

The inspiration came from Parisian architecture: the arches of the viaducts, the curves of the Arc de Triomphe. From this was born the motif that gives the pod its name and silhouette: the arch. A shape that structures the product and immediately distinguishes it from the rectangular volumes on the market.

This design work was accompanied by extensive technical development. Acoustic performance, material selection, user comfort, manufacturing: several months of research and development were necessary before the first Arche was unveiled in 2019.

The right product at the right time

The months that followed profoundly transformed our relationship with work. Video conferencing became widespread, and with it, the need for spaces dedicated to remote exchanges and confidential conversations. What might have seemed like a luxury became a necessity for many companies.

The Arche found its place in this context. Its proposition responded precisely to this new way of working.

A standard that continues

Since then, the Arche has continued to evolve based on the same principles that guided its creation: acoustic performance, ease of use, seamless technology integration, and French manufacturing.

This commitment defines leet design's work today: creating eco-friendly acoustic pods manufactured in France, at the intersection of design, architecture, and workplace comfort.
